We made it! Another crisp morning up before the sun and we were hitting the dirt again for the final leg of our Eastward expedition. By mid-morning we’d made it to Kata Tjuta (‘Many Heads’) for a walk and reflection in that peaceful, sacred place in the heart of the National Park, and by early afternoon we were straining our eyes into the distance for that first glimpse of Uluru.
And what a sight! We’re off to get a proper look and have the guided Mala Walk tomorrow, but our evening was filled with connection, community and chaos as we got to know the Pilgrims from other buses, the Base Camp team and some of the local Anangu. What a privilege to be welcomed onto this ancient land and to begin engaging with its heart and story! We can’t wait to tell you all about it.
